Information We Collect

In the course of using the Services, Alliance may ask you for certain information, including, but not limited to, your name, e-mail address, postal address, and telephone number. Such information is provided voluntarily. In general, you can visit our website without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself; however, you must provide personal and business information in order to register for Alliance’s Services and use the mobile application.

When you register for Alliance’s Services, we also may ask you for additional information to complete the transaction and register you for the service, such information may include without limitation your name, billing address, credit information, business information, financial information, zip code, email address, and credit card information.

Additionally, Alliance may use automatic data collection technologies such as cookies to collect non-personally identifiable information when you visit our Services, including, but not limited to, the type of browser you are using, the type of operating system you are using, your IP address, aggregate data about the number of visits to the Services, and aggregate data about the pages visited on the Services. In doing so we do not connect this information with your personal information such as your name or email address. For more information, please see the section below.

When you access the Services by or through a mobile device, we may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store “device information” (such as product model and operating system) and “location data,” which may include GPS coordinates (e.g., latitude and/or longitude) or similar information regarding the precise location of your mobile device and route information, including your point of origin (which may be your then-current location), the address of your destination, the starting time of your trip, and the route you follow. Location data may convey to us information about how you browse and use the Services and help facilitate your use of some of the functionality of the Services. Some features of the Services, particularly location-based services, may not function properly if use or availability of location data is impaired or disabled. We may maintain a database with anonymized location and route information, and may keep such information indefinitely to improve our Services and to provide other features that may enhance your service capabilities, functions, and your user experience.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Alliance may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect non-personally identifiable information about Services users, including, without limitation, cookies from Google Analytics. A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. Alliance uses cookies and other tracking technologies in order to improve our Services by providing aggregate information on the number of visitors and usage patterns and allowing us to recognize you when you revisit our Services to provide you with customized information and to remember your preferences. Alliance does not engage in the collection of personally identifiable information over time and across third-party websites and we do not permit third parties to gather information passively on our Services for behavioral advertising purposes.

You can control many tracking tools, including cookies. In particular, you may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our Services. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Services. These features are not yet uniform, so we are currently not set up to respond to those signals.

We do not collect or store your payment information or investment information on our servers. Please see the Credit Card Information section for information on how your payment is processed.

Alliance does not sell, trade, or disclose your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your express consent.

  • To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business (for example, processing credit card transactions) and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of Alliance’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Alliance about our Services users is among the assets transferred.

  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates.

Opt-Out Procedures

If you do not wish to have your contact information used by Alliance to promote our products or services, you can opt-out by following the instructions located on the form on which we collect your data or at any other time by contacting us at info@thealliancetrucking.com.

If we have sent you a promotional e-mail, you may send us a return e-mail asking to be omitted from future promotional e-mail distributions. This opt-out does not apply to transactional emails regarding your membership or updates to our policies, including, without limitation, transactional emails associated with Alliance Go.

Information Security

Alliance has implemented security measures to help protect against the risk of loss, misuse, and alteration of sensitive information that you provide. Nevertheless, such security measures may not prevent all loss, misuse, or alteration of information on the Services, and Alliance is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to any such security failures. By using the Services, you understand that there is a risk that data and communications, including e-mail and other electronic communications, may be accessed by unauthorized third parties when communicated over the Internet. The foregoing does not affect any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Credit Card Information

Alliance does not store your credit card information when you register for our services. Alliance partners with PCI compliant subscription billing management service providers to process credit card transactions. Our credit card processing providers protect your sensitive credit card information using a variety of security measures including Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) encryption technology and other technical and physical security measures. Additionally, Alliance undergoes annual security testing in connection with PCI Self Assessment. 

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

Alliance members or customers may review or modify their contact information by contacting customer service at info@thealliancetrucking.com. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

Your California Privacy Rights

Under California law, a California resident with whom Alliance has an established relationship has the right to request certain information with respect to the types of personal information Alliance has shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes (if any), and the identities of those third parties, within the immediately preceding calendar year, subject to certain exceptions. In response to a written request, Alliance is allowed to provide a cost-free means to opt-out of such sharing.

Alliance does not provide your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you do not want Alliance to use your personal information to promote our products or services please follow the cost free opt-out procedures in this policy.

Transfer of Information to the United States 

The Services are operated in the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. If you are located anywhere outside of the United States, please be aware that information we collect, including personal information, will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States. By using the Services or providing us with any information, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your information in the United States. You are also consenting to the application of United States federal and Texas state law in all matters concerning the Services and this Privacy Policy.

Information of Children

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 18 years. We will not request personally identifiable information from anyone whom we know to be under the age of 18. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If we become aware that a customer is under the age of 18 and has registered without prior verifiable parental consent, we will remove his or her personally identifiable registration information.

If any link is offered connecting to a third-party website, it is for the convenience of our Services users. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Alliance of that website and is provided only for informational purposes. Alliance reserves the right to reject any request for a link to a third-party website and to remove any link for any reason. Websites linked to and from the Services are not necessarily under the control of Alliance and Alliance shall have no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the content or privacy practices of any such linked site or any link or linking program at any time. If you click on a link on the Services and link to a third party’s website, then this Privacy Policy will not apply to your personally identifiable information collected on that third party’s website and you must read the privacy policy on that website to see how your information will be handled.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy was posted on September 28, 2016. Alliance reserves the right to change, modify, or amend this Privacy Policy at any time. When the Privacy Policy is changed, modified, or amended, the revised Privacy Policy will be posted on the Services. Users and customers are responsible for periodically checking the Privacy Policy available in the Services for updates. Continued use of the Services following any changes or modifications shall be deemed as your acceptance of any changes in the terms of the Privacy Policy.
